Before the course started, I thought it was a very boring course, but it wasn't. As an architect, the model is our first introduction. I also learned a lot from the structure of the first mission to the model of the final mission. Finally, I would like to thank Ms. Paul and Ms. Sabrina for their help.

ASSIMENT1 PROCESS

REFLECTION

In the assiment1, I learned the importance of structure for architecture. First the elements are points, then lines, and finally faces. In the original MOCKUP, I chose a relatively simple shape to make. When I finished, Ms. Sabrina gave me a lot of advice. Finally, I chose complex pictures to complete the model.

ASSIMENT 2 PROCESS

REFLECTION

My chosen theme for assignment2 is rhythm and harmony. First of all, for rhythm, I think of height. Because I think height is the most rhythmical thing. My team members also gave me a lot of suggestions, and finally I could finish the model.
And I’ve learned the importance of teamwork. When you don’t understand the problem, we can trust the team, they can give you some advice

FINAL ASSIMENT PROCESS

REFLECTION

In the final assiment, my theme was fear. After the movie, I studied the character first. Fear is something that everyone has, so I think of myself, and the thing I fear most about myself is height. In my model, the spiral staircase is the main part, it can reflect a lot of things. After three weeks of research and study, I finished the model. Ms. . . Sabrina suggested improvements to my models, and I improved them.

REFLECTION

This semester has been a meaningful and transformative journey for me, and I am especially grateful for the guidance of Ms. Sze Ee. From the very beginning, I wanted to design something inspired by classical gardens, similar to the Suzhou Gardens. My vision was for my final work to be more than just a single building—it would be a harmonious combination of architecture and landscape.

After P1A, I began to study how to integrate elements of Suzhou Gardens into the local cultural context of Penang. However, combining a park with a building proved to be a challenge, as it required balancing two different design approaches. In July, I visited city parks in Kuala Lumpur for inspiration, exploring them through a city walk. These visits sparked new ideas, and my design went through many revisions before it reached its final form.

From P1B to the Final Interim, I received valuable feedback from Mr. Prince and Ms. Teh, for which I am very thankful. One of the most memorable moments was achieving a B+ in P1B and later an A in the Final Interim—my highest grades in five years at Taylor’s University.

Throughout this period, my daily routine was simple yet intense. I would wake up at 10 a.m., work on my project until midnight, and repeat. I devoted all my time to design, without entertainment or social activities. This experience reminded me of the Chinese saying: "Heaven rewards diligence."

After retaking AD4, I began to truly reflect on my approach to design. In the past, I only aimed to pass with a grade of C and graduate. But over the past year, I have pushed myself to grow, improve, and treat architecture as a craft worth my full commitment.

Now, I have finally achieved what I aimed for and can graduate with pride. I am satisfied with my work and grateful for the support I have received. As I close this chapter, I leave with the words: "The green hills remain, the flowing waters endure—until we meet again."
