Phase 2.2
The architectural design strategy should focus on the integration of form, activity, circulation, and the technical and service concepts of a 3-5 storey learning center (1200-1300 sqm). The design must be responsive to the community and context, meeting structural, spatial, technical, environmental, and legislative needs. It should emphasize the coherence of tropical design, lighting, façade, and building envelope, and closely integrate architecture, theory, building services, and green strategies.

Intergrated Project(ARC60904)
Project 1:
The objectives of this assignment are outlined below: ·
To cultivate an awareness of the fundamental nature, principles and processes of law and legislation, encompassing the Uniform Building By-Laws (UBBL) and local fire regulations. ·
To foster comprehension of working drawing conventions and formats by means of practical application. ·
To nurture an understanding of construction prerequisites that align with design intent and building performance.
Project 2
The objectives of this assignment are as follows:
To understand the roles of the different consultants (Project Team) & different stages of work relevant to typical construction industry project.
To analyse design suitability and project viability
To understand the application of management techniques in the control and direction of project resources
IT Application
Project 1
The objectives of this project are as follows:
• To explain the latest trend of Digital and Information Technology (IT) by applying relevant process and tools used in the context of sustainable construction industry.
• To develop an architectural design in a multidisciplinary setting by adopting integrated project delivery practice namely Building Information Modelling (BIM).
Project 2
Upon successful completion of the module, students will be able to:
1. Produce a 3-dimensonal Building Information Modelling (BIM) model which integrates relevant information of building components and material properties.
2. Interpret BIM information for the purpose of building documentations and design solutions including building performance analysis and simulations.
