This course helped me a lot since I hadn't really started working with Revit before. The importance of , Revit and BIM to architects has become increasingly prominent in the field of modern architectural design and engineering. They offer a new way to design and collaborate, with a profound impact on architect productivity, design quality, and teamwork.

REFLECTION

This semester has been a meaningful and transformative journey for me, and I am especially grateful for the guidance of Ms. Sze Ee. From the very beginning, I wanted to design something inspired by classical gardens, similar to the Suzhou Gardens. My vision was for my final work to be more than just a single building—it would be a harmonious combination of architecture and landscape.

After P1A, I began to study how to integrate elements of Suzhou Gardens into the local cultural context of Penang. However, combining a park with a building proved to be a challenge, as it required balancing two different design approaches. In July, I visited city parks in Kuala Lumpur for inspiration, exploring them through a city walk. These visits sparked new ideas, and my design went through many revisions before it reached its final form.

From P1B to the Final Interim, I received valuable feedback from Mr. Prince and Ms. Teh, for which I am very thankful. One of the most memorable moments was achieving a B+ in P1B and later an A in the Final Interim—my highest grades in five years at Taylor’s University.

Throughout this period, my daily routine was simple yet intense. I would wake up at 10 a.m., work on my project until midnight, and repeat. I devoted all my time to design, without entertainment or social activities. This experience reminded me of the Chinese saying: "Heaven rewards diligence."

After retaking AD4, I began to truly reflect on my approach to design. In the past, I only aimed to pass with a grade of C and graduate. But over the past year, I have pushed myself to grow, improve, and treat architecture as a craft worth my full commitment.

Now, I have finally achieved what I aimed for and can graduate with pride. I am satisfied with my work and grateful for the support I have received. As I close this chapter, I leave with the words: "The green hills remain, the flowing waters endure—until we meet again."
